is 0.754 in^3 per minute. On a semi hard steel. Here is an article
that states a 25HP machine removes 13 in^3 per minute. We were probably
pulling 2 HP from our spindle. It is difficult to tell how hard one is
loading the spindle motor. If we did much heavy cutting with this lathe
I'd equip it with an ammeter. We've got one for the mill but haven't
used it yet.
