Hi Tim,
I don't really think that's its very important what distribution you
use. In all cases, you'll have to apply the realtime patch to a kernel
and rebuild to get RTLinux 2.0. The easiest way to do this is to just
get the prepatched kernel from rtlinux.org. Given this, the kernel
shipping with the distribution doesn't matter as EMC doesn't use it.
IMHO the only vital issue is that the distribution contain a recent
enough gcc, libs, and X system. Any recent distribution should, I think,
meet this requirement.
