Hi Alan,
Your comments are noted and accepted. I just pulled the specs for
this TurboCNC application:
Truncated Specifications:
* Runs in DOS and uses the parallel ports for I/O
* Supports 8 axes simultaneously, any mix of angular or linear
* Up to a 28 kHz step rate on a 486-66 PC (single axis move)
* Regular ipm/ipr feeds, linear, circular, and helical interpolation using
IJ or R notation
* etc, etc..................
Sounds very interesting but as you suggest does not work on RS-232 ports.
However I agree that the routines would be of great interest to me. I
downloaded the zip but no source code. Do they allow access to the source
after registration?

You'll find doing circular and helical interpolation a challenge! There
are several "problems" to overcome.
