About 5-wire 5-phase Vexta motors

Hi everybody! I just got a used 5-wire 5-phase Vexta motor. I need it
for a school project. But I need to know if it can be handled by a
microcontroler o PC, is it possible? I thought only a bit pattern
into each of the 5 wires will do the work, is it correct?
