Hi Mina,

I can understand that in many parts of the world aluminum may be 10
times the cost of steel so you disire for steel is smart.

regardless of the material, the frames are all buils about the same.

I have a drawing for a table I designed, but have not built. the
parts you would need to do is select how you wanted to move the table
and add them.

for a plasma cutter, a simple drive belt is good enought, or if you
have a gear rack, that too will move it easily as plasma is a non-
contact method.

The problem with plasma is that you need a riser so that the cutter
does not cut the table itself. with wood, you want it as solid as
you can make it.

Also for wood, a stronger set of rails and stronger drive is needed
than for plasma.
