Take a look at Dolphin CADCAM, XZ and YZ
Contours can be defined to create surface cross
Sections. These contours can be rotated, repeated
And attached to XY contours.

Further details can be found at the web site
www.dolphin.gb.com within the description of the
milling module.

Also, if you wish you can download the software
From the website and try it out. There are example
Parts in the download section but if you require
Further examples email us your requirements and we
Will do our best to send a suitable part program
For you to view.

If you require any further information
Feel free to contact me off list.

If you have a typical flat surface such as the bottom of a pocket and
imagine it was plastic. Then you were to apply heat and watch it slump
downwards as it started to melt but was attached by the edges so as to
form
kind of a bubble.
That's the kind of surface I would like to create.
I think I remember seeing this from a Cimitron demo for making coins. It
was
very expensive and about 8 or 10 years ago.
I was thinking maybe some of the more affordable packages may now have
this
feature.
Thanks,
Brad
