I have a Vol 24 of this, and it is MUCH more useful than the RS-274D
standards document. The standards document describes the allowable
syntax of RS-274D language in excruciating detail, period. There is
nothing in there describing how the language is turned into machine
movements, how one command interacts with another, etc. That's
why I didn't recommend it for someone learning CNC.
