No I can't say that I have ever considered that.
Building my own power supply is enough for me at the moment.
I will check the link out a bit but not sure I have the time to
make everything from scratch.
There must be a link to make your own servo drives somewhere.
Maybe grind some ballscrews out. Its all fun but it sure can take up
some time.
