I recently replaced a Heidenhain encoder (250 cps, 300khz) with one from
Encoder Products (http://www.encoderproducts.com/) - it was also 300khz,
250 cps, but it was about $150 less and available, custom-built from
Idaho. (3 day delivery) The Heidenhain was 6-8 weeks out, I tried a lot
of places. The EP product was top quality with great service. I was
told by someone else to avoid the Renco products, although they looked
o.k. to me. (http://www.renco.com/)
