Questions: Where does this board plug up to ? Doesn't look like it has connection to the parrallel port from the website pic. Does it support unipolar motors ? where are the connections for the motors ? $125 is a good deal for 4 axis.
thanx

We have a limited edition, microstepping driver available. Based on
the Allegro A3977 chip. The board is rated at 2 amps per axis and
maximum of 35vdc. This is a promotional item and is subject to prior
sale. Quantities are very limited.
These boards are just $45 with purchase of DeskCNC and controller card
($350).

DeskCNC is a windows based CAM programming and CNC machine
controller. It works well with free and low cost cad software like
TurboCAD, Dolphin, or VECTOR Cad. Handles pocketing, contouring and
drilling at no extra cost. Capabilities also include image
acquisition, editing, tracing, carving and engraving, PCB trace
isolation and drilling, 3D surface machining, and Text engraving.
The machine controller produces up to 45000 steps per second on all 4
axes. One of which may be a rotary. Runs on any Windows 98 and
later computer, 350MHZ or faster recommended for 3D surface machining.
The interface includes automatic tool length setting and a unique
contact probing routine that automatically scans a user defined, 3D
space for surface data, reverse compensates for the probe radius, and
automatically creates a re-machinable .stl surface file. With the
DeskCNC, TP-100 contact probe/tool setter, typical probing speeds are
in excess of 20,000 points per hour.
The controller card has cycle start, e-stop, feed hold, limits and
homing switches, probe, Spindle direction, flood and mist coolant,
and pwm spindle speed control. All on a 2 x 4 1/4 external card with
screw terminal breakouts included.
