Pacific Scientific Stepper Motors with Indexer
In early April I will have available about doz
M22 nrxb -lnf-ns-00 motors
with 5240 Indexer and connecting harness.
The price for the set (one axis) should be about $75.
These are not my units but a friend of mine who usually
sells them in other markets. I thought that these might
be a good buy for the hobbyist of this group.
If you have any comments on these units, please let me know.
The only thing I know about them is from the Internet and the
motor looks like the one on my MaxNC but the number is slightly
different

I could not find a manual for the 5240 but there
was a manul for (I believe) the 6420. While
this and some other indexer manuals are slightly
different, they were helpful to me to understand just
wha the Indexer was. This is what I think they do.
they will work from step and direction signals.
they have micro stepping capabilities
they are programable to perform a preset pattern
of movements.
It looks to me like they could not only run off CNC
programs, but can also be programed to follow a specific
sequence of moves with out the need of being hooked
to a computer. what i would call motion control.
I don't want to sell these as a lot. That is what is happening
to them now. Maybe in groups of three or less. Let me know.
If the demand is there, and its a good deal, he might start
selling to the hobbyist.
Whats in it for me? maybe another axis. I found out about
these because I gave him a truck and trailer load of electronic
scrap (lot of copper) for one axis.
If I get a good response by Fri noon (Mountain Time) I'll
tell him to save them for us.
Please send any information you might have on these units,
good, bad, how they can be used, ???????
