You could replace Electronics and Electrical with the proper words for any
other field of endeavor that you choose, and you would find the statement to
be true.

That's an important point that we should keep in mind when trying to do
things as a hobby-if we can spend the time to learn all about it, we can
save a lot of money.
If we need to rely on others to do the work.research, whatever, it can be
very expensive.

I guess there are 2 kinds of hobbyists-the ones who just want to USE THE
MACHINE, and others who want to learn enough about it to actually BUILD THE
MACHINE(or modify, etc).

I THOUGHT I was in the 1st group; now I'm realizing I'm really in the
2nd...:)
