What do the encoders look like? The 9336 is almost certainly the date code,
if you swap the left and right pairs of numbers, the motor date code is
almost
identical, so 1993/week 36 and week 39. Can you (carefully) open the
encoder? Does it have any manufacturer's marks or symbols, possibly
molded into the housing?
