A little slow? What is slow about it? The screen/mouse response, or
the step rate?
You can probably decrease the "PERIOD" parameter in the .ini file to do more
step cycles/second, given a 450 MHz CPU. You may also have to turn up
the feed rates (given in IPS, not IPM).

I use Pentium 100 and 133 MHz CPUs, but with hadware assist.
What step resolution and speeds are you having trouble with?
