Sounds like overkill - have you considered using a wireless
keyboard and mouse, and a long video extension cord? I've used
a Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse 15' away from the cpu
with a 25' video extension cable on a 15" flat panel (LCD) display
with no problem whatsoever.
