Yes, good. But, it will dissipate .6 W, so you should use a 1 W
resistor, minimum.
Or, use 2 1/2W 3000 Ohm resistors in series.

You really need to tune it with the entire load attached (screw, nut,
table, etc.)
Have an e-stop circuit hooked up so you can shut it off if it oscillates.
