Field tune the Geckos otherwise you'll just end up doing it again
when you set up the machine. Also run the machine for intervals with
your hands on the motors the feel how hot they get. You'll run the
biggest risk of cooking one in the first 20 minutes.
BTW. On a hard fault/stall condition by the time you smell the motor
it's toast.

.. And.. Which is better, tuning gecko-drives with the motor attached,
or not attached to the leadscrew (ie. Bench or field?) I mean,
attached
it might break something if it starts violently oscillating, but then,
wouldn't it be better if you adjusted it when it was actually moving
the
