Machinery'sHandbook: Calculate the Moment of Inertia (you
can literally add the individual moments of the flat
sections, and arc sections to get the total), go to the
Beam Tables and find the 'fixed at each end' formula for
maximum deflection, 'plug-in' the known variables & solve.
ISTR, that ASTME publishes Monent and Section Modulus
tables for virtually all square, round, and rectangular
tubing in one of their books.
