Hello Dave,

Try searching for beam deflection. Usually includes cases for
rectangular and round tubes with loading on far end (like a diving
board), in the center, and distributed (like a bookshelf).

I have used the formulae for book shelving but cannot find right now.
Might have time Sunday to dig deeper.
