With most servo drives you may need this.

One of the design goals for the DeskCNC servo drives, was user
friendliness. The DeskCNC servo drives do not require an elaborate
process (and associated user manual) to tweak them into usefulness.
Each drive has a dynamic, visible indicator of the loop condition.
It works like the tuner on an AM radio. When the station is properly
tuned it comes in clear and loud. Similarly the tuning of the
DeskCNC servo driver has a visible "signal strength" that flashes and
indicates the dynamic servo loop conditions.
