RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] VEXTA STEPPER HELP

Not really sure about the suitability for a direct drive Sherline. Maybe Dan
Mauch can help us with that. Normally you want as low a voltage as possible
with as high an amperage as your controller can handle. I am told that
configuration will have lower inductance and therefore better maximum RPM
capability. I had some Vexta's on my Sherline and they were 5.4 V 1.5 amp
and put out about 130 in/oz and worked great. I would guess that your motors
are a little lower in torque but would work fine.

The wiring setup is:
A - Black
center tap - Yellow
a - Green

B - Red
Center tap - White
b - Blue

So for bipolar usage tape off the Yellow and White and hook Black and Green
to one side of your H-bridge and Red and Blue to the other side.
