I am very interested in your findings, I was thinking of doing the
same thing.

The information I gathered on pulleys is the only two to consider are
HTD and power grip GT2. Of these types GT2 has almost 2x the hp
rating for same size belt. And GT2 has much less backlash. If you
want HTD for some reason then you would make the trough in the
pulley .004" higher than spec to reduce backlash (per gates).

I have not gotten to the point of finding the exact specs and
dimensions for the cutter for these pulleys and do not know if they
are publishedÂ….Also if this gets figured out maybe we could split the
cost if more than 1 cutter cost less moneyÂ…
