So, in the above, just remove the 1280 if 1024x768 is good enough for you.

The stepper mode will blindly assume it is spinning stepper motors by
wiggling
signals on the parallel port. Other than the E-stop signal, it needs
nothing else to
pretend.

Ugh. It is MUCH better to have the network card IN and CONNECTED before
you install. If not, you need to be a real guru in many cases to make
it work.
