RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] E-stop Problem + more

Ray Henry has written up a very nice explanation about the e-stop problem
and posted it on the linuxcnc web site. Check out the page at

Not exactly sure on a servo machine, but on a stepper the INPUT_SCALE
setting is the number of steps per 1 motor revolution and the OUTPUT_SCALE
is the number of encoder counts per 1 motor revolution. On your encoders, it
is normal to get 4 counts for every line on the encoder disk. So with a 1000
slot encoder you will get 4000 counts.
