Abby,
The problem you run into trying to cut thin sheet metal on a router/mill
setup is that it really wants to dance around on the table. Just not
think enough to be rigid and stay in place. Depending on the edge finish
that you can live with, a CNC gantry style plasma cutter might be the best
way to go. They can cut quickly and generally leave a nice edge. Another
thing to look at is an abrasive waterjet. These machines leave a very
nice edge, but are not cheap.
