I was a little suprised that after Roland announced the cnc
show/workshop that noboby followed up with any questions or comments.
Maybe it just slipped by or may have been misunderstood what a
fantastic show this may be! Roland Friestad has published articles
about cnc machines for years in the Home Shop Machinist Magazine. Was
the guy responsible for co-ordinating the cnc area at the NAMES show as
well as putting together all of the cnc seminars at the show. I still
remember being packed in a little room (at the Yack arena show)
listening to Don Fergle talk about ball screws, and all the other guys,
and KNOWING I had to build a machine! It was also at the NAMES show
that THIS group sprouted to life! I have had many great years talking
about my cnc "adventures" at the NAMES show, and now we(the cnc hobby
guys) have our own show! So please spread the word, because I believe
this will be a fantastic week of learning and making many new friends!
(oh, and yes, I will there doing my "cheap and free" talks!) Thanks!
