Generally not. The left/right means on which side the cutter is, as seen by
a little person walking behind the moving cutter. So, as long as the cutter
stays in contact with the side of a part, the left/right doesn't have to
change. As long as your cutting direction (and this would mean climb
milling
vs. conventional milling) doesn't change, then you can keep the same
offset side.

If you were cutting alternately with climb and conventional milling,
then this
might be a problem.
