Please look at my web page.
If you want to do special 4th axis machining, I can help you. My machine
normally uses aluminum extrusions for the frame. In your case, you can use
a 4" by 4" square extrusion for the Y axis and use Bishop Wisecarver V
wheels. The X axis would use 80/20 type extrusions.
The X axis would not need to be very long. The Y axis needs to be long
enough to machine the longest part.
For the 4th axis turning there are some inexpensive wood lathes that could
be modified for a stepper motor.
