Hmm test bed needs...

A b&k signal analyzer would be great... (cost as much as a house)

A storage scope, signal generator, servo amp, and tach would be ok

A power supply, a pulley, a rope,a weight, and a stopwatch
might do.

Another motor of known characteristics might do too.

Let me sleep on this.

Getting some hard numbers on moment of inertia, torque constant, etc
for treadmill motors would be a good thing.

What do you have?

Hi Les,

Thanks for the post. I'll need to re-read it a few times for it to
sink in.

I have a pair of motors. one is 1-1/2hp the other is 2hp

I have a couple G320's I got in December.

I have a 20 amp power supply, multi-tap transformer and I'm pretty
sure it can do 48 volts. 68,000uF cap at 75 volts. (tall-boy beer can)

At this time I'm still working on the main axes bearings. I'll be done
if a few days and I'll be trying to figure out how to mount the motor
to it.

What do you need in the way of a test bed ?

Dave
