I followed his methods, but used brazed carbide lathe bits, after
using an angle grinder to reduce the ballscrew to root diameter. I
honed the carbide with a cheap diamond home and took light cuts.
Worked very well. I was actually pleased with how it came out,
although it took like 4+ hours to turn down a 0.625 screw to 10mm
for my bearings, plus thread it for a locknut.
