I'm certainly not opposed to support for them, but I must confess
ignorance of what output one would store in these formats. I can
imagine storing the toolpath output in SVG format for viewing in an SVG
browser, but other than that I don't know what data one might want to
exchange with other programs. Do you have any specific examples?

There are some interesting possabilities to use XML and stylesheets
transformations to do a direct translation from an easy-to-read format
directly to gcode, maintaining variables and conditionals (essentially a
translator from a more conversational format to gcode), but that would
likely be a seperate product.
