"store front" is a simple aluminum extrusion. I am sure there are
alternatives to use on that side of the pond.

If you want a simple axis, there are other ways that don't require
exocitic parts.

Probably the most simple way is to use 2 sections of silver steel
(drill rod to the folks on this side of the pond) and delrin bushings.

Those parts you can get over there.
