Now that we are thinking about it, I think that a polishing machine
might be an easier way to go.

A machine, like a surface grinder, could have interchangable wheels or
belts and such, have protected ways and flood or dry, or whatever.

I would also think there would be a way to measure the resistance so
as to know when to add rouge or some such.

Rotary axis and all that. Sounds like a possible addition to the
collection.
