Bill,
The idea is to use the vacuum table on a mill, instead of a clamp. This
would provide a better hold-down for thin/flexible/brittle material for CNC
machining.
I don't know if vacuum hold-downs have much use in non-CNC machining so this
may be primarily a CNC device.
