Dave,
Have you considered the piano wire (spring steel) available at most hobby
shops? It's spring-hardened and would be a good candidate to test with.
I've bought pieces in diameters down to 0.015", maybe smaller. It usually
comes in 36" lengths and is a buck or two per section.
My two cents worth...

Subject: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Looking for EDM wire
Hi all,
I'm trying to get my ducts lined up for a plunge EDM I'm building from
the new Ben Flemming book.
I'd like to get my hands on a few feet of EDM wire of different sizes
and types to test them out.
It is NOT a wire EDM machine, but I am looking to use EDM wire to poke
small holes in sheet metal and maybe slots if the wire can be used
that way.
Anyone know where I can get a few feet of different types of wire ?
Also, it looks as though there are different hardnesses of wire.
since this would be a plunge unit, hard would be desired.
Dave
