Hi Terry,

That is a Kits-R-us kit #179 and from the people I know who use it,
they are satisifed with it.

Resistors are based on the motor amps so if the designed called for
resistors, it would be dependant on your motor ratings.

I didn't see resistors in the schematic so I assume you are supposed
to supply voltage equal to the motor nameplate.

Looking at the schematic, I would tend to think that if you wanted
more voltage, you would need to put current limiiting resistors on
each of the motor common positive legs. one on each, not one per motor.

Motor amps times motor voltage = motor watts.
