PMDX-131 and Mach2

I've been running Deskcnc (software & hardware) on a bridgeport boss5
retrofit. I rewired it to add extra switches, digitizing probe, 4th
axis, etc., and change to a second generation, but I can't get it to
communicate with the pc anymore. Anyway I'm tired of messing with it,
and am going to redo some things. I'm looking at the PMDX-131
combined with mach2 software. I've already got gecko drives and I
think I'll keep them. Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions before
I invest any money in this?
