Hi Steve,
If you want to slow down the serial transmission rate without changing
the baud rate in Procomm Plus and other serial applications; then you
will need to increase the inter line delay (time in ms to wait after
Line Feed/ Carriage Return characters are sent) and inter character
delay ( time to wait in ms between each letter of code sent). Ideally
though the Bridgeport device should have an output that signals when its
input buffer is full that is connected to pin 8 of your DB9 serial
port. Then you could select Hardware Handshaking CTS/RTS with any
terminal program and not need to worry about buffer overflow problems in
your Bridgeport device.
