(Matt) I know the feeling-this is more or less pro bono work for me, while
I'm waiting for some real work to come through. It looks like the amp is
similar to the one on (Matt's) machine. It is an SD4-3060 - it has two cap's
on it, instead of one. What confused me earlier is that the drawing and
control package were done by Industrial Information Controls, for
Milltronics. I'm reasonably sure it's the amp board, because prior to my
retrofit, the previous machine owner told us that the X axis had slammed all
the way to one end. I had the Y axis working before, so I switched the
boards and now I can't get the Y axis to tune, even starting with the same
settings as the X axis. I'll call SD and see if they have any "quick
diagnostics" to determine a malfunctioning board (maybe runaway axis is an
indication!). Thanks again, to everyone, for the assistance. As soon as I
