I had a look into epoxy granite here in the UK and found:

http://www.granitek.co.uk/

They seem very friendly and will fill your own moulds for a small
charge. They were talking about 2GBP per KG for the raw material.

sorry no use for the lens lathe but might be of interest to other UK
people on the list.
