Harko,
No doubt it (Machinemate) would be great when I get time to make this a
G-Code machine tool. But in fairness I'll take a look at Machinemate and see
what it's all about could be something I could use.
Right now I'm using Keyence because it's easy for me to get loaners, but
there resolution is not what I need.
Looking at Optodyne site looks rich with nano positioning capabilities.
I'm looking to see if they have something that will scan a specular and diffuse
surface and return a displacement, and hoping they allow me to handle the air
current averaging in the DSP (playing with high speed laminar flow).

Ok but you might be surprised as to the flexibility of Machinemate. Who's
Laser displacement sensors are you using. I have used Optodyne.
