Yes, that's true! I could just make Oldham couplings. I was originally
just going to buy the helical couplings. But after seeing the price, and
noticing the Oldhams...
What are the pins you're talking about? Like 1/8" pins between two 1" drive
disks? I could mill the two mating hub pieces. I could probably even make
up some Delran to fit in between. Are you making yours? A pix would be
helpful, if convenient for you.
I'm assuming direct drive will be sufficient. I have much less loads in
milling a PCB, and those ball bearing guides are really easy to move!
