I said Mach defaults to 25Khz, which is too slow for real servo
performance, but also would not max out most steppers.

Any product like that has to be able to get something close to the step
rates of say the G100 to be viable, especially for servo's. I cant say
the 4Mhz the G100 is apparently able to do is realistic, but certainly
250Khz is. The geckodrives are rated at least to that...

Yes just as important. Not specifically Modbus but someway to expand
i/o and actually have some control over it.
