I paid 200GBP for a reconditioned machine with an Athlon 2600 and XP,
but to get Mach3 running smooth I had to add a separate graphics card,
since the on board graphics caused stuttering. That would not be a
problem with DeskCNC controller. The only thing with DeskCNC is I am
lead to believe that there are still a number of areas that need work on
the conversion side. My ideal setup at some point in the future would
probably be Mach3 driving a DeskCNC controller, but EMC2 is not far
behind especially when you include the costs in the discussion ;)
