Jarrett,
Not sure what others will say but I did exactly this
on my plasma table and it's been working for me.
Couldn't get the hi freq plasma (almost 14 yr old
machine which was very electrically noisy) to work
consistently on it but now that I bought a new plasma
machine (now using Hypertherm 1000 which is NOT
electrically noisy) it's working quite well!

In troubleshooting the hi freq plasma, we determined
that my enclosure was actually better at reducing the
hi freq problems than the original comp case (steppers
were being affected) by removing all components,
testing, reinstalling, etc (a LOT of work).

I did make certain to isolate all of my comp boards /
power supply boards with nylon bolts / standoffs to
hopefully ensure I didn't get any ground loops as well
as using all suggested wiring techniques by this group
and others with twisted pair wires w/ drain wire
connected at power supply board.

I perhaps could have gotten the hi freq to work
consistently if I would have shielded / partitioned my
enclosure separately from power supply / mobo, etc. I
installed everything in a filtered pressurized
enclosure in order to seal out (attempt anyway) the
plasma cutting dust!

I use CandCNC.com's MP1000 THC (Thanks again Tom for
all of troubleshooting help w/ hi freq) and their
associated cards for breakouts, limits, power control
modules, etc. hooked up to 69vdc powersupply
(homemade) with Geckodrives.com's G201's driving the
steppers.

Darren Lucke (very satisfied customer!)
