Thanks. Yes, that's the sort of Quill Clamp I had in mind with it being
large enough to eventually take a ball screw too. In fact, with my typical
over-the-top-design style, the sketch I have made so far also has coolant
plumbing to the same clamp assembly and four NPT connectors for four hoses.

But for now, typically the DRO heads are mounted to the thing that moves
aren't they? I'm just wondering if anyone has mounted it so that the head
doesn't move but the bar moves anchored at one end.
