Re:digital protractor for faceting machine

Hello,

i am responding to the group, because i also need related
information.I will need to have a rotary indexer on the machine i am
starting to build.

I have built 2 faceting machines,, and repaired others. I chose to
use a protractor with vernier because i trust them, and have been
using them for 50 tears.

In the past i have made index gears for faceters,gave it up because
cutting 96 teeth on a 40 to 1 B&S type dividing head was the pits.

Question: can I drive that dividing head with steppers?

I have 2 complete digital units including power supplies They were
built by Jon Gearloose of XS3 fame.
