Yes, indeed, this is true. And, the column setup on the
minimill is pretty flimsy. It may be, in fact, that all the
weight increase is in the column area, it looks like that from
the picture.

But, there were so many inconsistencies in that ad picture, I
have no idea what the machine really looks like, or can do.
My use for the minimill is as a travelling demonstrator, I don't
do any serious work on it, so lightness and cheapness is a
virtue for me. I should have gotten a Taig, but they were
backlogged when I needed it.
