Thanks for the quick responses. Having been involved with other
groups like the GMC Motohome net and I know how basic some of the
first posts can look to the long time users.
I have some further information to ad that I did not have last night
at home.
This uses a Compumotor CX driver and some Compumotor stepper motors
that unfortunatly have the model number worn off.
Is there some other spot on the stepper that the voltage or specs
would be stamped in?
From scanning the CX manual I think I will be able to figure out the
basic specs of the motors from the jumper selection on the CX.
I will clean it up with some TLC and there is just a bit of corrosion
on the side rails that I think will clean off with a bit of fine
scotch bright ybe some SS cleaner. I sassume I need to be gentle and
make sure not to gum up the works.
Would the "hobby" drivers work on the Compumotor steppers? Or should
I just figure on swapping them out? The specs for this system from
Lintech seem quite robust and it is built like a tank. Seems that it
should be extremely stable.
Agin, thanks for any and all input. I do plan on being able to run
multiple jobs on this and want to get going in a direction that I do
not have to do too much nack tracking after I get some experience.
