Hi Marcus,

From what I can tell, the Compumotor CX driver gets its commands from an
RS-232 serial interface, such as you will get connecting to a computer. It
can also be "programmed". In use you'd send it various letter commands like
"MPI" for incremental move, etc.

As you want to make it do more or less "fixed" tasks, then writing a script
to command it from a pc and something like the HyperTerm terminal emulator
program (free) seams reasonable. You might even be able to "download" and
store the program in it's EEPROM.

You can probably read the jumper on the controller to determine the current
for the stepper motors. 12000 steps/rev! Compumotor steppers (I'm told)
are usually matched to (designed for) their driver. Might be Unipolar?
